Mission

- Preserve, plant, and maintain trees in McLean;
- Educate the public on the value and benefits of trees;
- Assist the public in taking an active role in caring for their trees in McLean;
- Provide McLean with more tree-lined, pedestrian-friendly streets;
- Assist Fairfax County in achieving its goal of 45% tree canopy by 2037;
- Encourage the maintenance, protection and preservation of trees; and
- Support stormwater management practices that reduce erosion, sedimentation, and pollution.

McLean Neighborhood Tree Program

he McLean Trees Foundation (MTF)'s Neighborhood Tree Program assists homeowners in planting trees their front yards. Goals include:
- To restore and maintain a diverse tree canopy in McLean;
- To educate homeowners in McLean on the environmental, economic, and aesthetic benefits of trees;
- To encourage and assist homeowners to take an active role in caring for their trees; and
- To create tree-lined streets.
