What we aim to solve
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
GLOBAL ORPHAN CARE
Our programme exists to support thousands of orphans and widows on a global scale, giving aid to orphanages that are already established but lack the support they need to care for the orphans they house. The extent of Global Orphan Care goes beyond giving aid to orphanages, it includes supporting unsponsored children, widows and orphaned families too. By giving aid to the orphanages we work with, we will have a greater effect on the lives of more children. Read more about this, here.
A simple donation to Global Orphan Care can:
Clothe hundreds of orphans.
Feed orphanages for months
Give treatment to the severely or terminally sick.
Keep the heat on in orphanages over the winter.
Improve livelihoods in schools by building more classrooms.
Provide opportunities for more children to receive proper education.
Boost the morale of villages by building better homes.
Put widows at ease who worry about feeding their children.
An Orphan Rescue Kit helps take a child off the street. Th
Homes for widows and Oprhans
Ethiopia, the second most populous country in Africa, grapples with severe poverty despite its economic growth. Over 30% of its 117 million residents live on less than $2 a day, and recent conflicts have escalated the humanitarian crisis. Particularly in the Ziway Dugda district of the Great Rift Valley, a region susceptible to drought and diseases, the dire situation is evident. In response, 'Orphans in Need (OiN)' has initiated a project to provide housing to the most vulnerable, particularly widows and orphans. Our aim is to construct sustainable homes for five households, replacing their existing dilapidated structures. Each home will feature a bedroom, dining room, kitchen, and separate toilet block
