Charting impact

Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.

1. Work to identify and recruit well-qualified community leaders for the Citizens Academy program and provide support for the classes held at the Field Office.

2. Develop strategies designed to engage past Citizens Academy graduates and foster their continued relationship with the Field Office. Positive programming can also lead to increased membership and retention of members for the Alumni Association.

3. Assist in the hosting of Community Engagement Council (formerly MCAC) meetings throughout the year. Work to improve the program with increased participation of key community partners.

4. Work to identify suitable community service projects that can support Field Office priorities and engage Citizens Academy graduates. Assist the Field Office in identifying qualified potential candidates for Special Agent, intelligence Analyst and Professional Staff positions.

Policies and processes
  • We seek individuals from various race backgrounds for board and executive director/CEO positions within our organization.
  • We have community representation at the board level, either on the board itself or through a community advisory board.
  • We engage everyone, from the board to staff levels of the organization, in race equity work and ensure that individuals understand their roles in creating culture such that one’s race identity has no influence on how they fare within the organization.
