Pop Up Pantry

We are building pop-up pantries across the greater New Orleans area that provide free personal hygiene products, cleaning supplies, clothing, and resources for additional help.

For The Love Of strives to build stronger, safer, and more connected communities through free personal hygiene pantries, food giveaways, and live entertainment.
We hope to build and supply Personal Hygiene pantries throughout the Greater New Orleans area. We believe people should be allowed to stay in the neighborhoods choose, and by alleviating some of the costs of living, we are helping to do just that.
We also believe our unhoused neighbors are every bit a part of our communities as our housed neighbors. By making sure they have essential items like deodorant, soap, socks, and more, we are helping to keep them safe from elements, and helping them get back on their feet.
Our live events help us connect with our neighbors, performers from all walks of life, and other nonprofit organizations. Through these events, our goal is to provide a safe space for marginalized groups to gather, share laughter, food, and/or entertainment as way to heal, inspire hope, and connection.

Supply. Support. Celebrate.
Supply -FTLO's Personal Hygiene Pantry runs 24/7 providing the 7th Ward with basic human needs to alleviate the cost of living. We also assist with disaster relief.
Support - FTLO holds multiple events throughout the year highlighting other local nonprofits that have specialized focus missions to improve the lives of women, LGBTQIA+, and BIPOC communities. Our BYOB with Picolla Tushy series lifts the voices of performers, small business owners, and nonprofits.
Celebrate - FTLO's live and virtual shows showcase local performers and artists from all over the city. From burlesque to comedy to poetry and more, we know art is form of celebrating the human experience and brings communities closer. Our seasonal Plate Give-Aways give us a chance to hang out and to get to know our neighbors on a more personal level.

Our Personal Hygiene Pantry and Disaster Relief programs have been running for over three years. We have been able to do this through fundraising, social media, micro-grants, and word of mouth.
Our board and volunteers are multi-talented individuals who have been dedicated to raising money for and awareness of local and national nonprofits since 2017.
Our Executive Director has been a producer and performer for over 20 years. She has utilized those skills and her connections with performers and artists to create one-of-a-kind live and virtual events to help lift the voices of nonprofits, social issues, and the very performers/artists who dedicate their time, energy, and artistry to the causes and people we support.
She has also lived in the neighborhood where our pantry is located for over 10 years. As a trusted member of the community, she is able to talk with the people who benefit most from our pantry and find out exactly what is needed/wanted.

For The Love Of has successfully run our Personal Hygiene Pantry for over three years. We have assisted in recovery and relief after two major hurricanes (Ida & Ian) and multiple tornados.
We have raised over $14,500 in monetary and physical donations for 20 local/national nonprofits since 2017.
Since 2020, our Personal Hygiene Pantry program has raised over $51,000 in monetary and physical donations with over $8,000 going directly to disaster relief.
We have partnered with a locally owned small business where we have a donation-drop off box.
We have held seasonal plate giveaways throughout the years, providing our neighbors with home-cooked meals. To date, we have handed out over 300 plates and stocked food pantries with leftovers.
We are partnering with food pop-up vendors and local bars to make these events even bigger.
We will be building more pantries and donation boxes throughout the upcoming year.
We are adding more live performances, while continuing to dedicate three shows a year to support other local nonprofits.
