CAFE Flutes Concert

We surprise and enthrall our audiences by producing a broad spectrum of musical textures while playing a wide variety of silver flutes. Ranging from the rare 10-foot long contrabass flute up to the traditional piccolo, we perform a variety of songs in diverse genres: oldies, classical, show tunes, jazz, folk, patriotic, and pop. Our concerts are engaging, enlightening, and entertaining because we will actively involve the audience. 

Since we started in 2014, we've performed over 125 concerts, and are best remembered for superb flute choir music that features the 10-foot long contrabass flute. Our Community Outreach activities are focused on bringing CAFE music to seniors. Because of pandemic restrictions, there is a need for seniors to re-connect with their communities and enjoy live music again. Population(s) Served

Two CAFE members will present an interactive, educational demonstration about the flute family and global flute culture. Participants will see and hear all five members of the silver flute family (including the gigantic contrabass flute); and examine flutes constructed from clay, antler, and bamboo.  Myths, history, and local stories will be covered in this unique, memorable Powerpoint presentation that features photos, sound clips, and videos.  Fascinating Flutes can be booked separately or with a CAFE concert.  Packaged with a CAFE concert, audiences will also enjoy an educational preview of the upcoming CAFE program.
