What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?

Act & Advance

Act & Advance allows students to engage in various service opportunities we provide. Additionally, they brainstorm and work under the guidance of Youth Ambassadors of Service to pursue passion projects serving the community. They also maintain creative freedom and flexible time commitments to determine who they would like to support and how they will support them. This includes, but is not limited to drives, fundraisers, and events nonprofits located in RDU. We ensure that this program is equitable by providing members with the start-up costs to pursue their projects. While executing upon this, we speak with nonprofits to see how we can best serve them.

Population(s) Served

High schoolers are able to get experience in a professional setting, learn important skills, and explore careers related to the nonprofit sector. This is all while making a meaningful, long-term impact toward a cause you are passionate about. To complete their fellowship, students intern with a nonprofit for nine months, participate in our curriculum, and host a large-scaled project (their Impact Initiative), amongst other tasks. Youth Ambassadors of Service, previously known as General Services Foundation, will be there as a resource to students to help complete your fellowship project and internship tasks.
