Be your biggest, baddest self.™

Mission

Neurodiversity is the idea that neurological differences like autism and ADHD are the result of normal, natural variations in the human brain. People experience and interact with the world in many different ways due to these differences and there is no one “right” way of thinking, learning, and behaving. Our mission is to celebrate neurodiversity and help neurodivergent people cultivate their unique talents, pursue their passions, and be their biggest, baddest selves.

What we aim to solve

SOURCE: Self-reported by organization

Neurodivergence is estimated to affect a significant minority of the population at 15-20%. Additionally, the unemployment rate among neurodivergent adults is 30-40%, which is 3x the rate for people with disabilities and 8x the rate for people without disability. Because neurodivergent individuals are often marginalized due to their conditions, we believe building personal confidence around their super powers can help a neurodivergent individual be more successful in a work environment. Additionally, generating awareness and acceptance among co-workers will also create a more inclusive environment for everyone to thrive. We believe we can help close the employment gap by advocating for neurodiversity and helping people recognize that neurodivergent simply means "different" and is not a deficit.

What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?

Scholarships

Neurodivergent people can sometimes be underestimated, but they have incredible talents and are far more capable than they are given credit for. All human beings can do amazing things, and sometimes they just need a little power-up to turn a marginalized individual into their biggest, baddest self.

Dreamzilla exists to help neurodivergent individuals pursue their passions and realize their dreams. Our scholarships can provide neurodivergent people with a launching pad for them to accomplish their dreams.

Our founder Kyle Loh’s unique journey from a bullied child with autism to an accomplished race car driver is an inspirational story about perseverance, self-realization, acceptance, and overcoming obstacles to find success.

Some of the challenges Kyle faced could have been circumvented if people he met had shown a greater understanding of neurodivergent individuals. Kyle believes that implementing sustainable change begins with inspiring the next generation. The more people that are aware of facts and have understanding, the less isolated neurodivergent people will feel among their peers.

Building awareness through education is a key pillar in achieving Dreamzilla’s mission. We have developed a program to present Kyle’s story at events like school assemblies, or other gatherings where people can listen and resonate with his inspiring journey. Kyle’s memorable, engaging presentation will leave a positive impact on all who hear his story.
