The Weekend Emergency Assistance Program (WEAP)provides emergency food and other basic needs items, such as hygiene, infant care and household items to families on the weekends when other community service agencies are not available for service. Beginning in July, 2007, we will be serving clients with shelter care, rental and transportation assistance, as well. The Hats and Hands Program provides cold weather clothing: hats, scarves, socks and gloves to the homeless during the winter months. The majority of items are hand made through knitting, crocheting or looming. The Employment Essential Program provides interview appropriate clothing to individuals returning to the workplace, thus encouranging clients to become self-sufficient and move from welfare to work.
