What we aim to solve
The number of bereaved and traumatized individuals seeking therapeutic services is far too great to count. The currently available services to appropriately meet the needs of these individuals are limited. We aim to expand and improve the available therapy for individuals who have experienced trauma and traumatic grief and loss.

Charting impact
Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.
What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
As we are a newly established organization, we are attempting to establish our foundation of a secure operational budget that allows us to provide quality holistic therapy to bereaved and traumatized human beings situated in the unique setting of our carefarm--home to nearly 30 rescue animals in our sanctuary. This year we will care for the animals currently in sanctuary, expand our presence in the community, establish community partnerships, and continue to provide quality therapeutic support to bereaved and traumatized individuals.
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
We will continue hosting monthly community volunteer days and connecting with members of our community. We will host support groups for bereaved individuals. We will provide therapy to bereaved and traumatized individuals. We will establish collaborations with academic entities.
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
Our founder, Dr. Bree Conklin, is a successful and respected therapist, instructor, and community collaborator. We will continue utilizing the networks she has established in various capacities to work towards meeting our strategic goals.
What have they accomplished so far and what's next?
Magnolia Harbor Carefarm was established as a 501(c)(3) in March of 2022. We are in the process of working toward our first, soft open house on October 8th, 2022. Our intent is to continue to pursue research opportunities with the Univerisity of Tennessee's Veterinary Social Work Programs in addition to continuing our work assisting those who have experienced traumatic grief and loss and caring for animals rescued from neglect. We have also begun our work around plans to expand our operation to include infrastructure and therapy programs to more adequately serve the community and the animals we rescue.
