What we aim to solve

SOURCE: Self-reported by organization

The Brexton Foundation was founded in honor of Brexton to help many other CHD and complex CHD babies reach into childhood. Right now there is not enough, if any research on the left side of tiny babies hearts. There is also no available mechanical resource to offer to babies whose AV valves are smaller than 15mm such as Brextons and many other CHD babies. Our hope is to one day make the groundbreaking research possible for all babies who suffer from left-sided heart conditions so they are able to reach childhood and beyond. While we wait for funds to partner with a cardiothoracic research institution to bring upon groundbreaking research for left-sided heart issues, The Brexton Foundations mission is to serve and support individuals with complex congenital heart disease and defects, provide early intervention strategies, resources, and direct support to their families.

What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?

The Brexton Foundation

The Brexton Foundation was established in honor of Brexton, who unfortunately passed away due to the lack of available research and interventions for complexity of his CHDs.

Currently, there's a critical lack of research for CHD babies, leaving them without life-saving interventions. Many need valve replacements, but support for those with valves under 15mm is not available. It is time to shine a light to ensure every CHD baby gets the care they need! Our goal is to pave the way for groundbreaking research that will benefit all CHD babies with left-sided AV valve heart conditions, allowing them to reach childhood and beyond.

As we work to secure funding for collaborative research with a pediatric cardiac institution, our mission remains clear: to serve and support individuals with complex CHD, provide early intervention strategies, valuable resources, and direct support to their families, ensuring no one faces this journey alone.
