Lactation Station Inc

This program meets on a weekly basis. It is free to the community and nurse facilitated. Pregnant, nursing/bottle feeding, and postpartum mothers come together to talk and learn. Topics covered include safe sleep, normal infant feeding patterns, weekly weight checks, introducing solids, maternal mental health, baby bonding, and postpartum care. Infants with oral restrictions can receive oral rehabilitation on site from a registered nurse trained in tongue, lip, and buccal ties. Local providers volunteer their time to share their knowledge in their particular professional field. Psychologists, infant massage therapists, hormone health coaches, chiropractors, and nutritionists are a few of the speakers who have participated in this program. Hands on help with breastfeeding or bottle feeding issues is offered and available every week. Meeting infant milestones and ways to encourage development at home is another concept also taught through this program.
