COLLEGIATE ENTREPRENEURS ORGANIZATION
Creating a World of Opportunities
Programs and results
What we aim to solve
At the inception of Collegiate Entrepreneurs' Organization entrepreneurship education was non-existent. CEO helped kick-start entrepreneurship as an academic discipline with the help of the Coleman and Kauffman foundations. Today, we exist to provide a supportive and interactive network of students that possess an irrepressible entrepreneurial spirit. Universities and Colleges have come a long way in the way they support entrepreneurs, however, it's very difficult to teach entrepreneurship without applied practice. CEO, along with our mentors, partners and resources is able to supplement the university/college curriculum and provide an atmosphere in which college students can be successful entrepreneurs. CEO is pushing the next generation of entrepreneurs forward, supporting their efforts and funding their projects.
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Global Conference & Pitch Competition
Each year, CEO sponsors an informative, action packed global conference that attracts nearly 1,000 collegiate level students (and their faculty advisors) from around the World. During the three-day conference, attendees network with other entrepreneurial-minded students and listen to presentations from seasoned and nascent entrepreneurs, subject matter experts, motivational speakers and fellow students who are making the transition from dreamers to doers.
One of the highlights of the conference is the CEO Global Pitch Competition. Preliminary rounds of the competition take place each day of the conference with the winners being announced at an awards ceremony on the conference’s final day. Over the years, thousands of students have participated in this highly competitive competition that showcases new and innovative business concepts from some of the best and brightest entrepreneurially minded students in the United States.

Charting impact
Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.
What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
The organization has several strategic goals centered around the expansion of Collegiate Entrepreneurs' Organization. CEO seeks to... expand its global chapter model into regions beyond North America, increase our ability to fund student ventures, grow our network to more than 500 universities and 32,000 members, offer more regional events to support the development of new ventures, expand the attendee reach of our global conference, increase our online and in-person resources and expand CEO's ability to directly support a young business founder.
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
CEO is in the process of launching two unique committees; The Innovation Committee and the Business Advisory Committee. These committee, combined with increase funding capacities will significantly advance CEO's ability to grow internally and achieve our strategic goals, aforementioned. CEO is also in the process of expanding our corporate board, relevant to more business professionals that can create strategic relationships for CEO HQ. More information on CEO's Strategic plan can be accessed by e-mailing [email protected]
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
CEO is in the process of expanding its headquarters team to further increase our ability to support the Innovation and Business Advisory Committees. These additional staffers will work directly with the respective committees to advance our directive. In September of '18, CEO expanded its headquarter team to create more positions in our membership department, which, is presently working on the growth and development of new chapter establishment.
What have they accomplished so far and what's next?
CEO is a unique position in that our current membership and fundraising exercise are supporting the continual growth of the organization. We are seeking to grow these systems. Since our headquarter relocation in April of 2016, CEO has established a tremendous volume of systems, resources, and dynamic support for our chapters and programs.
