Mission

MEBO Research is a sufferer-founded Public Charity in the United States since April 21, 2010, under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, and a patient advocacy international campaign to research systemic body odor and halitosis. Contributions to MEBO are deductible under section 170 of the Code. The Charity is qualified to receive tax deductible bequests, devises, transfers or gifts under section 2055, 2106 or 2522 of the code. Thanks to donations awarded by its members and pro-bono services from the legal, educational, financial and scientific/medical community in the US and UK, MEBO has achieved this status. Within months of its inception, the MEBO International Test Program was launched, with aspirations of pursuing grants from government and private agencies.  Prior to MEBO's inception, an informal research study was underway thanks to the gracious contributions of donators, volunteer testers, discounted test rates from our supporters, and pro-bono experts'services. As a Public Charity, MEBO is now in a better position to pursue large research grants and endowments from private foundations and governmental agencies in multiple countries in order to further its research efforts to find the proper diagnosis to all systemic body odors and halitosis and to find a cure. MEBO Research, Inc., will engage in the following type of educational activities that will raise awareness of Bloodborne Body Odor and Halitosis disorders:
Soliciting and publishing scholarly articles on its website and in an email Newsletter.  It will maintain a website and at least two blogs, one in English and one in Spanish, available to the public providing up to date information and research for causes, treatment and cure of body odor conditions.  MEBO will sponsor yearly seminars or conferences for those interested in the condition or have the condition allowing for the presentation of the latest information published by experts and the possibility of meeting with experts.
