Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Livonia Civic Chorus Concerts
The primary purpose of the Livonia Civic Chorus is to prepare for and present two major choral concerts, one in December and one in May, for the entertainment of their audiences from Livonia, Michigan and surrounding communities.
Musical Interlude for Seniors
Since 2014, the Livonia Civic Chorus has offered its vocal music performances for the residents of Livonia-based senior care facilities. A group of Chorus members, usually about 30, provide a 45 minutes performance of relevant music free of charge to the residents. Since 2014 we have presented 52 performances in 15 facilities serving 1600 residents. This program is funded by the Livonia Community Foundation.
Celebrate Freedom
The Chorus volunteers and music director have designed a musical program that will be performed to benefit the non-profit Michigan agency Vets Returning Home, the Wounded Warrior Project, and The Police Family Survivors Fund through donations and free will offerings
