What we aim to solve
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Moderate Means Program
This partnership with Washington’s three law schools (the University of Washington, Gonzaga University and Seattle University) utilizes law students to perform client intake and referrals. The program works to meet the legal needs of Washington’s moderate-income population by offering referrals to attorneys who offer legal assistance at a reduced fee in family, housing and consumer law matters. These individuals and families cannot afford full-fee legal services but do not qualify for free legal aid.
Diversity and Inclusion
We support the Washington State Bar Association's commitment to advancing diversity and inclusion within the legal profession through research, education and programming.
Powerful Communities Project
This initiative provides grants to qualified legal service providers and other nonprofit community organizations for outreach projects such as free legal clinics, “Know Your Rights” presentations, listening sessions, and more. These projects focus on underrepresented communities and create many opportunities for legal professionals to volunteer their time and provide services.
