What we aim to solve
We are a dedicated group of alumni members of the Sigma Chi Fraternity chapter at Washington State University working diligently to insure that the teachings of the Sigma Chi Fraternity, as established in The Jordan Standard and other founding literature, are instilled in the young college men at Sigma Chi. Our general fraternity, installed at WSU in 1919 and founded nationally in 1855, is the clear leader among the fraternity world in helping to create good citizens, fine gentlemen and solid people. Our leadership programs are the fraternity world's first and best. The number of members and the number of chapters is the best. The funds distributed by the Sigma Chi Foundation are the highest in the fraternity world. In the current year, 2019, we are raising $1.5 to $2 million to build a $5.2 million Centennial chapter house to replace the original house torn down in 2003 and the temporary existing home. We invite you to support us by donating at www.wsusigmachi.org

WSU Sigma Chi Centennial Chapter House Campaign
To celebrate our 100th year at Washington State University (2019), we are raising $1.5-$2 million to build a new $5.3 million, 50-man Sigma Chi fraternity house. We intend to begin construction during this centennial year 2019 and open doors in summer of 2020 in time for fall semester classes.

Charting impact
Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.
What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
We are raising money to build our new Centennial Chapter House. After 50 years of efforts that stalled or came up short, this campaign is finally succeeding. We raised nearly $1.5 million and expect to secure our construction loan and building permits in April 2019. Groundbreaking is scheduled for May 2019. See details at www.wsusigmachi.org
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
To create a community among all our alumni members that has not existed previously so that we can build a new Sigma Chi Centennial Chapter House in 2019. We must overcome years of skepticism due to several efforts that stalled. This time, we are finally succeeding. See our success at www.wsusigmachi.org We invite you to donate during or after construction to ensure continued financial strength.
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
We have assembled an astonishingly talented executive committee with professional skills in all the areas we need to succeed: Communications and development, accounting, law, construction and engineering, banking and financing.
What have they accomplished so far and what's next?
We've created a closer knit community that we've never had before. We've created belief and confidence, something we've never had before. We've created an extremely talented executive committee. We've learned from previous efforts and engaged with their leaders, something no previous effort did. We've held important reunions and other events to bring alumni members of all ages closer together. We've built a vast spreadsheet of members and updated contact information. We've been transparent and engaging. As a result, we have raised nearly $1.5 million as of this writing (3/2019) and intend to continue raising more to fully fund the project and secure our construction loan(s) of $3.5 million or so. We are close to securing our construction permit from the City of Pullman. We have agreed to terms for our construction loan. We are close to signing our contract with the builder who won a competitive bidding process. We anticipate starting construction in May. We are organizing a Centennial Reunion in September 2019 to commemorate our 100th birthday at WSU. That reunion will be the largest gathering of WSU Sigs in our century of existence.
