Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Youth Programs
A wide variety of programs for youth ages 0-18:
1. Parent-Tot Social Groups & VROOM Learning
2. Preschool Therapeutic Play Program
3. Youth Mentoring: one-on-one and small groups
4. After School Programs
5. No Child Left Inside (NCLI) Outdoor Programs
6. Summer Workshops
7. Academic Supports: Tutoring
Advocacy
Supporting and working together towards sustainable and scalable programs including:
1. Affordable housing
2. Food security
3. JEDI: Justice, Equity, Diversity & Inclusion
4. Support diverse leaders: Coast Salish tribal leaders, BIPOC community members, people with lived mental health experiences and disabilities, LA CIMA youth leaders and seniors.
Household Well-being
A variety of supports that promote well-being:
1. Basic needs including: rent assistance; utilities assistance; unemployment, disability and federal program applications; health insurance enrollment; transportation assistance.
2. Food Security including Lopez Food Share Program community food bank and hot meal delivery.
3. Well-being Initiatives including: Peer Support, Open Source Wellness (OSW), Hero's Journey, access to mental health counseling and supports, Social Emotional Learning programs including Self-Regulation and Calm and Connection Toolkit
4. Holiday Programs: Thanksgiving Food Baskets and Spirit of Giving (Youth).
COVID-19 Response
Our programs have been modified to meet the needs of our community during COVID-19:
Critical need and care supports
Basic needs (rent, utility, transportation, and other assistance)
Nourishing food
Access to mental health services
Peer support specialists
Health insurance enrollments
