What we aim to solve

We are always striving to create good working relationships with landlords in our community. There are so many challenges that our clients come with that often landlords are reluctant to rent to our folks without heavy supportive services. We are in the process of developing a Good Tenant Certificate Program modeled after a program at UC Davis by permission. We hope that this will assist our clients to become good neighbors and tenants and also create a level of comfort that the landlords will become less reluctant to give them a chance to thrive in a stable and supported home environment.

Charting Impact

Five powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.

What is the organization aiming to accomplish?

What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?

What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?

How will they know if they are making progress?

What have they accomplished so far and what's next?

Complete our Good Tenant Certificate Program by mid year 2020.

We are well under way. We are currently doing administering consumer testing and working with specific landlords to help drive the process.

We have all team members who work with our clientele being trained and getting prepared to launch this program next summer.

We will launch the program in El Dorado County. We will subsequently track the progress of those who have gone through the training program versus the sustainability of those who did not, but were placed prior to launch. We will be monitoring this from both the landlord and tenant perspective through consumer surveys.

We have customized the training powerpoint slides, are currently working on the written training and testing, chosen the types of certificates we will issue and begun the pre-survey process as stated above.
