What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?

Program 1

The Museum and all education programs were temporarily closed effective March 16, 2020 due to COVID. For the bulk of the closure, we were able to maintain 2/3 of our staff working remotely tackling a number of projects such as transcribing oral histories, entering inventory datainto Excel spreadsheets so the could be uploaded into the database, researching and editing to up-coming volumes on Skagit County history.

Major accomplishments included presenting two original feature exhibits and one minor exhibit, completing phase 2 of the rehabilitation of Skagit City School, major work accomplished on physical inventory of Storage 1 and retiring the line of credit on Skagit City School.

Prior to the temporary COVID shutdown, our education program hosted school and adult groups with programming at the Museumand whole day "Pioneer Day" programming at Skagit City School. Served the community by providing a Speakers Bureau - bringing local historians into a variety of locations presenting on a wide variety of local subjects. During the shut down, worked on developing curriculum for local 4th-7th grade teachers to be used in conjunction with Historical Society publications.
