Mission

The YouAreNotFURgotten is the compassion cause created in the memory of Tux & so many other innocent animals who have been/are silent victims of abuse by children. We inspire and share with our young PawSquad members, ages 7-17, the foundation for learning to give back year-round. All monies/donations raised thru PawSquad members' year-round FUN-draising activities go to help homeless animals in need. Each month, the youth members vote on the recipient(s) and the need(s) from medical, food & shelter. YouAreNotFURgotten also provides scholarships for youth humane education/animal compassion programs to inspire Compassion for Animals = Compassion for Humans = Compassion for All ! YouAreNotFURgotten shows animals and youth, they are not forgotten, and their voices are heard.

Notes from the nonprofit

PAWTECTORS is the signature YOUTH ANIMAL COMPASSION EDUCATION program designed in collaboration with Animal Angel Aid. Their vision to see a time when all animals are treated & viewed equal. The primary focus is providing education that ALL animals can add joy, happiness and life-long companionship no matter their physical abilities, age or situation. #YouAreNotFURGotten is the Compassion Campaign created in memory of Tux (a beloved, innocent cat of the Pawtector's Director, who was shot in her barn by a neighbors child who was simply angry at his parents), and so many other innocent animals who have been/are silent victims of abuse by children/adults.

What we aim to solve

SOURCE: Self-reported by organization

YouAreNotFURgotten's compassion cause for The Pawtectors is inspired to bring awareness of: 1. animal abuse by youth, 5 - 17, 2. animals of all abilities & ages deserve compassion, kindness & a furever family, and 3. pet are a life-long commitment, not a disposable commodity. These 3 issues are the core of YouAreNotFURgotten & it's parent organization, The Pawtectors. If we don't stop these problems at a young age, animal abuse statistically leads to physical abuse (& much worse) of humans and property. Enabling today's youth to be part of the solution for their generation, we feel will greatly empower them to spread compassion & kindness amonth their family, peers & community.

Charting impact

Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.

YouAreNotFURgotten's compassion cause for The Pawtectors is inspired to accomplish:
1. implementing a Pawtector's "Super Hero 101" program for every state homeschool network,
2. implement a Pawtector's "Super Hero 101" program for every county public elementary school,
3. save homeless and at risk animals lives by the voices of the PawSquad members.
4. creating a network of community and national businesses that support Compassion for Animals = Compassion For Humans = Compassion for ALL!

Lead by example is the model for YouAreNotFURgotten. Our PawSquad youth are inspired monthly to be SUPER HEROES for animals in need, even their own companion pets. We aim to show youth of all ages that their young voices matter, and can be heard when they speak out against animal abuse, of any kind. YouAreNotFURgotten provides:
1. the compassion tools and life long skills for youth, starting at an early age, to learn to volunteer,
2. to be actively involved in what they're passionate about - animals,
3. youth the opportunity to be part of the solution,
4. to have a say in where the money goes that The Pawtectors' 501c3 charity raises.

Teaching these valuable skills at a young age, will carry forward with them into adulthood as compassionate, community changemakers.

The Pawtector's has created a very inspiring, super hero based, year-round, online youth humane program. Our strategies are:
1. to provide our PawSquad members daily inspiration of other Pawtector's making a difference for homeless animals in their communities;
2. inspiring animal loving youth to participate in the PawSquad Press from ages 7-15, that allows them a creative outlet to showcase community animal-related issues that need awareness or simply positive steps being taken to help animals (homeless, compassion & the backyard wildlife);
3. providing Pawtector collaborations with mentors for youth (businesses - local and national, celebrities, community heroes, athletes & anyone with an animal centric heart) that youth already look up to;
4. allowing children to be creative with FUN-draising events and activities that give them the opportunity to see the positive results of their initiative and actions;
5. providing the stories of the animals whose lives have been forever changed for the positive because of acts of animal compassion;
6. creating a year-round program of activities, super hero missions, videos, and opportunities for youth to learn about animals around the world, not just homeless/rescue and to cultivate passions to make a potential adult career choice to positively impact animals lives and habitats.

The Pawtectors' & YouAreNotFURgotten has an immediate WIN- WIN-WIN factor of teaching animal compassion, helping save animal lives and teaching kids valuable life-long skills such as paying it forward and giving back.

Nearly everyone, 98% of individuals, families, businesses that hear of our youth humane education work, want to assist us in our year-round goal. Founded by a 501c3 animal rescue with 15+ years experience in the world, we know what rescue work/daily needs are like in the trenches.

Homeschooling programs love our program because our monthly program/"missions" are theme based, informational and meet multiple monthly educational requirements. We have an unlimited access to industry wide resources of businesses, animal related professionals, and educators who all understand the value of our mission.

Our Pennies for PAWtectorS fundraiser for collecting loose change, Trick or Treat for Animals, PAWSbirthday, and numerous FUN-draisers that create excitement & participation for the PawSquad members help the community see the good that our young members are doing.

Parents/grandparents love that we're inspiring responsibility, communication, focus, and continued passion in their family members. All of our business/rescue partners want to work year-round with us, once they partner with us on any project.

We are excited about the future of Pawtectors, the positive change we will make in the lives of youth, animals and communities!

Pawtectors' has been in operation for 1-1/2 years. YouAreNotFURgotten was established the start of 2023 as the charity arm for the youth humane education program. It provides individuals and the business community with a tax deduction for all appreciated and welcomed donations for individuals who believe in our dream of inspiring animal compassion in youth everywhere.

We are members of the Association of Professional Humane Educators, partners with the Dog Writer's Association, Cat Writer's Association, PetSmart Charities, PETCO Love Foundation and Homeless Animal Support Network partner. We are contributing writers for blogs and starting this Winter, parent publications around the U.S.

We received a grant from the Homeless Animal Support Network in Spring 2023 which enabled us to create the PawSquad Summer Camp, an 8 week, online virtual camp that we offered FREE to all participants so we could introduce the Pawtectors and our program to them. It was an incredible success - loved by youth, their parents and the businesses that we highlighted in our weekly themed sessions.

Parents have asked us to particpate in their state homeschool conventions so that more homeschooling parents can learn of our program.

Our 1st annual PAWSbirthday was celebrated on August 19 in conjunction with international day of homeless animals. The Pawtectors has officially designated August 19 as the birthday for all homeless/rescue animals with an unknown birthday.

We have our own official "National Pawtectors' Day" - celebrated the 1st Saturday of June to showcase all the super hero accomplishments of our PawSquad members.

This Winter we are looking forward to participating with professional sports teams with "team challenges" as an effort to raise awareness for The Pawtectors/YouAreNotFURgotten program.

This is just the beginning of so many great things to come!
