Wetlands Conservation
Acquisition: The Wetlands Conservancy now owns 28 preserves protecting over 1500 acres of property in northwest Oregon and on the Oregon coast. The Stewardship Program: The Stewardship Program provides outreach and technical assistance to citizen groups, landowners, land trusts, watershed councils, businesses and government agencies on stream, wetland and watershed restoration and conservation. The Stewardship Program facilitates partnerships between diverse interest groups to accomplish an overall goal of increasing the capacity of individuals and organizations to preserve and restore wetlands and streams. TWC serves as a catalyst for building a lasting legacy of community stewardship with schools, businesses, neighborhoods, TWC has dedicated itself to conserving and enhancing the wildlife, water quality and open space values of healthy wetlands, streams and watersheds.
