Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Siskiyou Project's programs include: the Siskiyou Field Institute - an annual offering of field courses in ecology and the arts that serves the general public, youth, scientists and land managers; Defending the Wild - stopping destructive mining, logging and road building projects through appeals, litigation and decision-maker education; Public Education and Community Outreach - organizing and informing citizens through various mediums including our quarterly Newsletter "Voice of the Wild Siskiyou", action alerts, a PBS Special on this region, distribution of 1872 Mining Law video, slideshow presentations, and hikes and workshops focusing on the delights of biodiversity.
