Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
ALA in CA
The American Lung Association in California provides community programs, medical research and advocates to protect the lung health of the people in California. Our community programs focus on asthma, lung cancer, COPD, smoking cessation, clean air and tuberculosis. Each year, the American Lung Association in California provides research grants to young investigators to develop new knowledge that will aide in the fight against lung disease. Additionally, we fund the Asthma Clinical Research Center (ACRC) in San Diego, which is part of the nation's largest network of clinical research centers dedicated solely to asthma treatment. The Lung Association's advocacy efforts are focused on state legislation and regulations that impact lung health.
