Our community services include:

Asthma intervention and education for children, instruction on medications, care, symptoms and triggers. Includes in-home consultation.

Continuing medical education courses for healthcare providers--focusing on the diagnosis and treatment of lung disease.

Breathe California Central Coast is active in addressing health-related legislation and issues concerning clean air, tobacco and access to medical care.

Population(s) Served

The In-Home Asthma Education Program provides asthma management education to families, with the main expected outcomes of reducing frequency of Emergency Room visits and missed days of work/school due to asthma, as well as improving the overall well being of families.
The Program offers FREE comprehensive asthma education in the home, which covers:

Disease, triggers, medications, medication delivery systems

 The Program provides FREE tools to patients or clients to help them better manage their asthma, such as: Mattress and pillow case covers, Peak flow meters, Spacers and Educational materials.
