What we aim to solve
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Road To Recovery
This service assists cancer patients and their families with transportation to and from treatment facilities. Volunteer drivers donate their time and resources to take patients to treatment appointments and return them to their homes. Advance registration is required.
Reach to Recovery
For more than 30 years, the American Cancer Society Reach to Recovery program has helped people cope with their breast cancer experience. Program Volunteers are breast cancer survivors who give patients and family members an opportunity to express feelings, talk about fears and concerns, and ask questions of someone who has been there. Working with specially trained Reach to Recovery volunteers at this time can give a measure of comfort and an opportunity for emotional grounding and informed decision-making
Man to Man
The Man to Man program helps men cope with prostate cancer by providing free community-based education and support to patients and their family members.
I Can Cope
I Can Cope is an educational program for people facing cancer personally, and for their friends and caregivers. Living with cancer can be one of the greatest challenges a person faces in the course of a lifetime. I Can Cope helps people in your community meet this challenge.
Look Good ... Feel Better
Through this service women in active cancer treatment learn techniques to restore their self-image and cope with appearance-related side effects. Licensed beauty professionals provide tips on makeup, skin care, nail care, and head coverings. This program is a partnership between the American Cancer Society, the Personal Care Products Council, and the National Cosmetology Association and includes a complimentary cosmetic packet.
