What we aim to solve

SOURCE: Self-reported by organization

In today's increasingly secular, post-Christian culture, NorthCreek Academy and Preschool is uniquely positioned to reach this generation and those to come by cultivating academic excellence, imparting Biblical truth, and proclaiming Christ.

Now more than ever, ideals and values held in high regard for centuries are in question. Young people are growing up in a society which declares that faith is irrelevant to life. In contrast, NorthCreek integrates a biblical worldview into all of its programming, from superlative Christian formation to vibrant academics and co-curricular activities.

Join our mission! Help us fulfill our vision for a facility that fully meets our students' needs. Students have physical education in the parking lot, athletics off campus, and lunch outside. As our final campus build, Phase III will take our program from excellent to exceptional with a safe, dedicated space for our students to perform, play, and eat, all to the glory of God.

Our programs

What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?

Serving

NorthCreek equips students to serve. In a world focused on self, NorthCreek teaches self-sacrifice. Students are challenged to follow Christ’s example of servant leadership and to look beyond their own interests to the needs of others in their school and their community. In addition to daily teachable moments, intentionally planned opportunities cultivate in students a heart to serve. We collect food throughout the year and distribute it weekly to those in need. Each January we host an annual Warm Coat Drive and partner with a local inner-city ministry in the distribution. Junior high students visit weekly with the residents of the neighboring retirement center and participate in a variety of community service projects during our annual Spirit Week. At NorthCreek, students learn to give themselves in service to God and others.

Population(s) Served

NorthCreek prepares students to "show what they know." Purposefully designed opportunities help students discover, cultivate, and share their talents and skills in a wide variety of on-campus and real world applications. The result is well-rounded students who hone their God-given gift of creativity through art exhibits, dramatic presentations, and musical performances; athleticism through competition in a range of sports; and mental acuity through the county-wide Science Fair, Odyssey of the Mind program, and the annual Geography Bee. NorthCreek also equips students to know and defend what they believe both in the classroom and in public forums such as Ethics Day and debate competitions. Students are trained to pursue excellence in all areas, not as an end unto itself but as a means to serve others and glorify God. At NorthCreek, students learn to demonstrate what they know as wise stewards of their God-given gifts.

Population(s) Served

NorthCreek equips students with a rich classical Christian education. Following this time-proven model that produced history’s greatest minds, NorthCreek trains even the youngest students in the art of thinking well and equips them with a strong command of written and spoken language. Students are then prepared to clearly and convincingly express sound ideas. Our vibrant Christ-centered curriculum immerses students in both depth and breadth through the study of core traditional subjects, as well as Latin, logic, debate, and the fine and performing arts. Students learn to appreciate the beauty of great art, music, and literature. NorthCreek students rise to the challenge of high expectations and thrive in an environment that promotes joyful rigor, a love of learning, and devotion to godliness. At NorthCreek, students are trained to be biblical thinkers, articulate communicators, and compassionate leaders who are prepared to influence the world, soli Deo glorio.

Population(s) Served

NorthCreek teaches students the virtue of honor and respect. Students daily demonstrate regard for others as they open doors for elders, converse respectfully with adults, and pray for civic leaders. We treasure our nation’s heritage and pray together for its continued blessing on the National Day of Prayer. We train students to honor God as the ultimate authority and to honor earthly authorities as ordained by Him. Students learn to value the sacrifice and contributions of generations before them, and to share their gratitude with honored Grandparents Day and Veterans Day guests. We are purposeful about cultivating respectful students who positively contribute to their family, school, and community. At NorthCreek, students learn to honor others and live a life worthy of honor.

Charting impact

Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.

NorthCreek Academy and Preschool exists to partner with parents in providing a Christian education whose objective is the godly equipping of children. We equip students with tools for a lifetime of learning so that they are intellectually prepared, spiritually firm, and think and reason within the framework of a biblical worldview. We utilize the classical Christian model of education to produce graduates who are biblical thinkers, well-rounded students, and lifelong learners. NorthCreek graduates are informed and compassionate citizens who are able to effect positive change in the world for Christ.

Join our mission! Help us fulfill our vision for a facility that fully meets our students' needs.

Building upon our excellent program, NorthCreek Academy and Preschool strives to be an exceptional school that fully meets our students' needs. We will:

1. Maintain an unwavering commitment to our mission, and faithfully deliver a program that embraces our proven distinctives.

2. Invest in the future of the school and our students by identifying and delivering program improvements consistent with the advancement of our mission.

3. Expand our impact and presence by seeking and building relationships with our stakeholders and the community.

4. Communicate our vision to build Phase III with our stakeholders, the community, and like-minded partners.

5. Acquire, grow, and steward resources effectively.

Join our mission! Help us fulfill our vision for a facility that fully meets our students' needs.

NorthCreek Academy and Preschool is well established with a strong infrastructure including a proven program, supportive school community, experienced leadership team, and dedicated staff. NorthCreek is financially sound and committed to fiscal accountability, evidenced by annual independent audits. The NorthCreek campus demonstrates the wise stewardship of funds and creative use of resources, as well as the supportive relationship between church and school. The outstanding Phase I and Phase II facilities have been fully funded by NorthCreek Church, and, as a ministry of the church, NorthCreek Academy and Preschool reaps the benefits from these prior investments, paying only a monthly shared use fee.

NorthCreek Academy and Preschool is now positioned for the successful final build of our Master Plan. NorthCreek owns the land, has developed plans, and has approval from the city to build. NorthCreek Church has committed to fund one third of the cost of Phase III ($3 million), with the school funding the remaining two thirds ($6 million). The school's governing board has given approval for this final phase to proceed upon the securing of appropriate funding. We have expressed this vision and raised monies for the past two years, and have received support from NorthCreek Church, staff and school families, and alumni.

To realize our goal, we are actively seeking and building relationships with those both in and beyond our community who share our vision. We continue to ask school families to sacrificially invest in this final build for the school they love. Yet tuition-paying families challenged by the Bay Area's high cost of living are unable to bear the cost alone, and we seek help from friends of the school and other like-minded partners.

Join our mission! Help us fulfill our vision for a facility that fully meets our students' needs.

NorthCreek Academy and Preschool has a proven track record of developing students who are academically strong, spiritually firm leaders who contribute positively to our world. With over 460 graduates, NorthCreek has successfully fulfilled its mission since 1999.

The excellence of a NorthCreek education is known in the community, yet our commitment to delivering an exceptional program is challenged by limited facilities which lack a gymnasium, multipurpose room, and eating area, and an adequate kitchen, performance area, playgrounds, and storage. Students have physical education classes in the parking lot, athletic games and practices off campus in rented facilities, and lunch outside or in the classrooms. We faithfully and creatively steward the resources with which we are blessed, yet it is difficult to understate the remarkable impact Phase III will make on our ability to deliver the stellar program our students deserve.

With land, refined plans, and city approval in place, funding remains the final prerequisite to realizing Phase III. Of the estimated $9 million needed to complete this 36,000-square-foot building, NorthCreek Church will fund one third, or $3 million, and NorthCreek Academy and Preschool will fund two thirds, or $6 million. For two years, we have actively shared our vision for this final build, resulting in nearly $700,000 donated. NorthCreek Academy and Preschool seeks an additional $5.3 million to fulfill the school's commitment, of which $2.3 million is needed to break ground.

Join our mission! Help us fulfill our vision for a facility that fully meets our students' needs. As our final campus build, Phase III will take our program from excellent to exceptional with a safe, dedicated space for our students to perform, play, and eat, all to the glory of God.
