Mission

Baker Places is committed to providing a comprehensive array of high quality services to adults with mental health, substance abuse and HIV related issues. We assist individuals to regain the skills for living fully and productively in the community. This social rehabilitation approach guides and unifies all Baker Places' programs. Services are accessible, flexible, consumer-driven and culturally competent to serve San Francisco's diverse populations.

Castro Country Club

The Castro Country Club is a clean-and-sober coffeehouse/meeting place whose mission is "to provide a clean & sober gathering place in the Castro neighborhood, and to help foster a strong, healthy and diverse recovery community in San Francisco."

Population(s) Served

Continuum consists of one 30-day Crisis Residential site, four 90-day Transitional Residential sites w/Day Treatment, 125 permanent supported living beds in private flats and apartments, one permanent, staffed, residence with an African American-focused program.

This unique 28-bed program offers a medically supervised detoxification and motivational counseling process, providing 24-hour nursing care in a residential setting for up to 21 days.
