CHD OFFERS FIVE ALCOHOL AND OTHER DRUGS PREVENTION PROJECTS THROUGHOUT CONTRA COSTA. PROJECT SUCCESS PROVIDES EDUCATION, INDIVIDUAL MENTORING, AND SUPPORT AT SELECTED MIDDLE SCHOOLS. FRIDAY NIGHT LIVE PROMOTES YOUTH LEADERSHIP BY PROVIDING YOUTH OPPORTUNITIES TO REDUCE THE NEGATIVE EFFECTS OF ALCOHOL. EAST COUNTY ALCOHOL POLICY COALITION, LAMORINDA ALCOHOL POLICY COALITION, AND SIG (STATE INCENTIVE GRANT) ALL WORK TO PROMOTE POLICIES TO REDUCE UNDERAGE DRINKING.
