Mission
Our mission is to support and enrich the education of every child in the Lafayette public schools. We do this by funding instruction in art, science, music, writing, and social studies. Working directly with the districts (LAFSD/AUHSD) to identify areas for investment in core academics and enrichment, LPIE supports programs and efforts that might otherwise go unfunded.

LPIE funds STEM initiatives across all grades, including a credentialed science specialist at each elementary school.
Art Instruction (TK-12)
LPIE funds art instruction through all grade levels and many different mediums. Experiences in art boost critical thinking, teaching students to take the time to be mindful and thorough in how they observe the world.
