Charting impact
Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.
What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
Stronger Families Mission Statement: "To bring life-changing skills to marriages and families so they can be strong and thrive." Our vision is to see healthy marriages and strong families in every community. We believe that family breakdown is the blame for a number of serious societal issues America experiences today. As America's greatest assets, our Veterans and their families have already sacrificed so much to serve, they should not have to sacrifice their families as well. The need is great in this active and retired community, and the divorce rate among high-stress lifestyle couples, predominantly military and first responders, continues to grow since 9/11. Our goal is to keep these families healthy so they can contribute to healthy communities in America, and so others will continue to volunteer to serve in these most necessary civic positions in our society. Loss of family contributes to the loss of hope that many combat Veterans feel when they return home and separate or retire from the military. We believe this is one of the contributing factors to the high suicide rate.
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
We work directly with all of the branches of the US military via their Chaplains and/or Family Resource Coordinators.
We are one of the recommended curriculums for the US Army "Strong Bonds" program.
We work directly with military/Veteran non-profit organizations whose mission aligns with wellness and health for military/Veteran families.
We work directly with cities' first responder units.
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
The Oxygen for Your Relationships curriculum is offered in both live and online learning formats. The Oxygen for Your Relationships curriculum is collaboration of the "best of the best" in the marriage and family realm. We deliver the curriculum by a certified instructor in a live workshop environment with couples, and then provide on-going learning tools and support via our website, www.StrongerFamilies.com. Members are given access to podcasts with award winning experts in related fields, further resources to enhance and/or revive their relationship, and ongoing support and community from others who have also graduated from the Oxygen program.
Our National Training Director oversees all certified training efforts, to ensure our commitment to quality.

"It was like a light bulb went off. This is what we've been missing. If we didn't have the tools Stronger Families provides, I don't know where the relationship would be. We learned how to love one another, to communicate better, and to work things out the right way." - Jeremiah & Catherin Causby, US Army couple
