Our Programs

Clean Power
To put the Chinese power sector on a clean, low-carbon trajectory, one that over the next 35 years aligns with a worldwide strategy to limit global warming to 2℃.

Environmental Management
To achieve win-win outcomes for clean air, clean water, and safe climate by developing national and local air and water policies that encourage sustainable energy solutions.

Industry
To provide strategic, targeted assistance to support China’s industry sector in peaking its CO2 emissions by 2020 or earlier, and to assist China in accelerating its low carbon industry for a clean future.

Low Carbon Economic Growth
To assist China to achieve a transition to green economic growth, and become the world leader in clean energy production, consumption, and investment, by 2030.

Low Carbon Cities
To assist Chinese cities to peak their carbon emissions as early as possible and drop quickly thereafter by establishing a low carbon development pathway.

Transportation
To peak China’s transportation sector oil use and carbon emissions by 2030, and to ensure all cities meet China’s current air quality standards, with a handful of champion cities on their way towards achieving WHO guidelines.

Strategic Communications
To influence how sustainable energy and energy efficiency are narrated and perceived among key stakeholders in China, and help create a social environment that supports more ambitious energy policies and practices.
