It’s up to California to create the policy roadmap necessary to address the climate crisis. We have the solutions but lack the political power in the state to act as boldly as we must to meet the moment. That must change. By mobilizing communities that are on the frontlines of the negative impacts of the climate crisis, CLCVEF will shift the power in Sacramento and DC. Cultivating newly-elected representatives as environmental champions is necessary. And galvanizing support in Sacramento, and across key regions and stakeholder groups, towards focused and bold policy action is critical. By organizing on the ground, we will shape the public narrative, educate lawmakers, drive policy change, and expand regional partnerships and action.
