What we aim to solve
We aim to remove the need for euthanasia of dogs and cats in our local animal shelters. We also do our best to educate the public on the best ways to care for their dogs and cats to give them the best lives possible in loving homes.
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Dog and Cat Rescue
Rescue dogs and cats destined for euthanasia in local shelters and get their vet care, grooming and place in local foster homes. Create web pages for each animal with full description of personality, health, needs and photos. Take in applications for all animals and match applications to available animals. Matches determined by meeting whole family and doing a home inspection. Once we know the animal is a match and the home is safe and ready for new family member we complete the adoption.

Charting impact
Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.
What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
We work closely with local animal shelters to know which animals are in most dire need. We work with the shelters on need to properly evaluate the temperament and health of the animals in their care.
We strive to educate the public on the best animal care in all areas: spay/neuter to reduce pet over-population; holistic foods for best health; positive reinforcement training; and loving and caring for pets for their entire lives.
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
We keep our close contact with the shelters we partner with so we know their needs and they know how we care for the animals placed in our rescue.
We get vet care and grooming for all of our rescued animals and we take great photos to create a web page for each of them since many adoptions start with a picture and bio on a web page these days.
We place each animal in a loving foster home that can let the dog or cat relax and feel safe so we can see their true personalities.
We have a website full of resources for dog and cat owners to educate them on:
* spay/neuter resources and health benefits of spay/neuter
* training to enable the dog or cat to become and stay a happy member of the family
We have weekly dog and cat adoption showcases to enable the public to meet our animals and allow us to answer any questions they have on animal care, training, etc.
We have fund-raising events several times per year to give public a dog-friendly place to have fun with their pets, get family pet photos, listen to great music, etc.
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
We have multiple volunteers that work with shelters on their needs.
We have multiple vets and groomers that we work with and they provide discounted services to our animals.
We have multiple volunteer photographers to take great photos for the dog or cat's web page on our site.
We have many dog and cat foster homes that provide the daily care for the animals in our care.
We have multiple volunteers that keep our website up to date and adding new content, removing out of date content, etc.
We have multiple volunteers that run our dog and cat adoption showcases.
We have multiple volunteers that organize and run our events.
One of our volunteers keeps our social media presence active and relevant.
What have they accomplished so far and what's next?
We have been doing this since 1998 and have changed and grown with the times. Over the past few years the power of our website and social media have grown. We have adapted to these new avenues for getting our dogs and cats adopted and to enable us to educate the public.
Our core team will continue to do whatever is needed to get great adopters and keep these adoptions as "forever adoptions".
