Rachael Anne Gray Scholarship
The Scholarship was established in honor of Rachel Anne Gray who passed away September 2nd, 2012 at the age of 21.
Four awards, in the amounts of $1,500, $1,000, $500 & $250, are given annually to deserving high school Seniors only. The Fair Oaks Recreation & Park District (FORPD) and FOYAB are proud to host this scholarship program to acknowledge young people who are committed to community and school service and who seek positive solutions to community issues.
Rachel was a resident of Fair Oaks and a member of the Fair Oaks Youth Advisory Board (FOYAB) Rachel was a valued member of the Fair Oaks community, who made a huge impact on young leaders, the community and the Fair Oaks Recreation and Park District staff. Rachel enjoyed being outside, working with the community, and living life to its fullest each day.
Fair Oaks Youth Advisory Board (FOYAB)
Fair Oaks Youth Advisory Board (FOYAB) is a youth-driven program designed to foster leadership skills and provide our next generation a voice in the programs and services that benefit children and youth in the Fair Oaks Region.
Our Youth Commissioners, appointed annually, work together to strengthen the community outreach to children, youth, and their families, creating forums for discussions, reviewing issues related to programs and services for children and youth, and making recommendations to improve the health and well-being of our residents, In addition, the group provides volunteer resources for regional events and programs.
The group's findings and services are presented to the FORPD Board of Directors in a monthly oral report, which supports another level of learning that includes presentation skills and knowledge of the government process.
The program is supported in by the Foundation and guided by an FORP District Staff member.
Don Ralls Scholarship
