Charting impact

Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.

The goals of the organization are 1) to provide affordable and quality mental health and substance abuse services; 2) to eliminate barriers to obtaining treatment; 3) to provide immediate access to care; 4) to address issues that interfere with the child's ability to be successful at home, school and within the community 5) to provide parenting classes, Visit Coaching and brief therapy for court ordered parents who are seeking to reunify with their children 6) to support caregivers who have become guardians for minor children and certified foster parents.

The Clinic offers multi access points in which a child and his/her family can seen for a mental health assessment. Self referrals, in addition to referrals that are generated by schools, primary care physicians, Department of Human Services, relatives, clergy and others community agencies are accepted. Intake evaluations are conducted a the schools sites and various locations within the community. The Clinic maintains same day access and crisis referrals are seen immediately.

Clinic staff includes a multi-disciplinary team comprising of Master's Level Therapists, Bachelor Level Intervention Specialists, Physician and a Nurse Practitioner. Each therapist is either licensed by the State of California or is a registered intern with the State. Additionally, each team is supervised by a tenured licensed clinical supervisor. Staff also utilizes evidenced based practice to provide Clinic services.

One of the major accomplishments has been the implementation of same day access. Clients can be seen at the time of need. Likewise, staff have been trained on several evidenced based models/curriculums that are being implemented to fidelity. This has also supported successful treatment outcomes. The Clinic will be expanding services to become an adult and substance abuse provider.
