Adventist Health Bakersfield Hospital

Adventist Health Bakersfield operates a 254-bed acute care hospital with 24-hour/7-day emergency services. More than a nonprofit hospital, Adventist Health is staffed by compassionate hands and inspired hearts, creating impact in our community.

The hospital is the number one consumer choice for healthcare in the area, according to the National Research Corporation.

A Top Hospital award was bestowed by the Leapfrog Group, and independent hospital oversite organization. This is the most competitive honor an American hospital can receive.

Charting impact

Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.

One goal of Adventist Health Bakersfield Community Integration is to impact homelessness. Homelessness affects the wellness of communities as a whole. A goal of Adventist Health Bakersfield is to partner with existing organizations, through the Bakersfield Kern Regional Homeless Collaborative to support accurate homeless counts, data sharing and grant funding opportunities.

Adventist Health Bakersfield will provide financial and volunteer support for the annual Point in Time Count IPIT) with data to be used to apply for state and federal funds, drive work of Kern Homeless Collaborative in shelter formation, delivery of care and social services, respite care and placement into permanent housing.

Adventist Heath Bakersfield will participate in the Kern County Homeless Task Force, sharing data and metrics.

Adventist Health Bakersfield is positioned to provide support and staff to volunteer for the Point in Time Count.

Through the collective work of members of the Bakersfield Kern Regional Homeless Collaborative process measures of the effort have ensured that individuals who are homeless and unsheltered will be counted in PIT. The work will develop process measures, a strategic plan and a data sharing platform.
