Because millions of people around the world still wait to read the Scriptures in the language of their heart, Wycliffe Associates is working as quickly as we can to see every verse of God's Word translated into every tongue to speak to every heart. We are directly involved with speeding Bible translation by providing technology, training, resources, logistics, networking, expertise, volunteers, and support. By empowering Mother Tongue Translators and the local church around the world, we are striving to achieve the goal of beginning the translation of God's Word in every remaining language by 2025. This vision is called Vision 2025.

Organized in 1967 by friends of Bible translators, Wycliffe Associates is a ministry that accelerates Bible translation around the world. Because millions of people around the world still wait to read the Scriptures in the language of their heart, Wycliffe Associates is working as quickly as we can to see every verse of God's Word translated into every tongue to speak to every heart. To make this happen, Wycliffe Associates uses the following strategies: 1) empowers national Bible translators to provide God's Word in their own heart language; 2) partners with the local church to direct and guard translation work, harnessing their passion and desire for God's Word; and 3) engages people from all around the world to provide resources, technology, training, and support for Bible translation.

With more than 50 years of experience, Wycliffe Associates is uniquely positioned and capable of achieving their vision through the following capabilities: • Expertise—Wycliffe Associates provides skill and experience in managing translation work, including networking, logistics and technology, training, translation resources, strategic innovation, and distribution of training resources and Scripture. • Enabling—Through Wycliffe Associates' work to encourage, support, and catalyze the passion, skills, and commitment of national translators, Bible translation will happen faster and more accurately. Nationals are motivated because it's their own language. • Innovation—Wycliffe Associates is comprised of a team that provides innovative solutions to overcome Bible translation obstacles; such as copyright limitations, remote locations, hostilities, and more. • Adaptability—Wycliffe Associates has the ability to quickly adapt to the advancing vision and needs of Bible translation around the world. • Connectivity—Our teams connect translators and consultants around the world with laptop computers and solar-powered satellite communications. When connected through the Internet and satellite, the consultants and the national translators become a cohesive team—who together are much more effective and efficient than when working independently. • Accuracy—We are committed to supporting only Bible translations that use accurate and literal common language terms for “Father" and “Son" when referring to God and Jesus Christ. We diligently promote accurate Bible translation in every Wycliffe Associates project. • Accountability—This organization applies sound stewardship principles to translation work, by holding all efforts to standard measurable results. This significantly contributes to accelerating Bible translation in support of Vision 2025. • Inspiration—Wycliffe Associates communicates inspiring stories of national translators, and those who are still waiting, as the best way to punctuate the need and impact of translating God's Word into people's heart language.

Wycliffe Associates uses the following indicators to track their progress:

1) Serving Christians by informing them of the continuing need for Bible translation and by providing local, domestic, and international ministry opportunities to individuals and families to use the gifts skills and experience that God has given them across a broad range of personal and professional assignments in the advancement of Bible translation.

2) Serving Bibleless people groups by engaging Christians in fervent prayer for the advancement of Bible translation, by the mobilization of a pool of people able to meet the strategic needs and opportunities of the Bible translation movement, by developing financial resources that provide stability and the capacity to advance Bible translation, and by supporting spiritual, physical, and/or social transformation through our ministry.

3) Serving Wycliffe Associates volunteers by nurturing their spiritual development in such a way that their walk with Christ is strengthened; by providing resources to enable them to serve effectively and grow personally; by maximizing the use of volunteers within the organization; by fully integrating them into the responsibility and authority structure of our ministry; and by supporting planning, service, and stewardship through prayer.

4) Serving partner organizations by recruiting and supporting volunteer involvement in all capacities within these organizations, by collaborating in strategic planning and tactical implementation, by developing new and complementary financial resources to enable Wycliffe Associates to expand its support for approved programs and projects, and by evaluating current ministries and developing new ones.

As of 4/23/20, Bible translation has started in over 1,600 languages using Mobilized Assistance Supporting Translation (MAST) workshops, MAST Bible translations are in progress in nearly 1,200 languages, and there are 318 completed New Testaments using MAST. • For FY2019, we have served Christians by mobilizing 7,791 volunteers & staff members and generated ministry awareness to over 13.5 million people. • Serve Bibleless People Groups by engaging 77.000 prayer partners, by advancing the cause of Bible translation in 1098 countries, by raising $29,763,028 in financial resources for the ministry. • Serve Wycliffe Associates (WA) volunteers by organizing devotions & Bible studies within our teams that integrate personal spiritual growth with our organizational ministry; by integrating Scriptural reflection into our donor communications & events; by having volunteers, employees, & supported staff serving seamlessly side-by-side in every division & department of WA & in every level of leadership. • Serve Partner Organizations by providing people to fill 655 full-time job equivalents & 670 high-priority positions for 171 partner organizations. Through the following creative new solutions, Wycliffe Associates was able to empower national translators around the world: o Open Bible Stories, 50 Bible stories—from Creation to Redemption—opens the door to get God's Word in the hands of MILLIONS! o Bible Translation Acceleration Kits (BTAKS) allow Bible translators in the most remote regions of the world to collaborate more safely and effectively. To date, WA has installed 549 BTAKS for 793 language communities. o Print On Demand (POD) is a remarkable resource for printing and distributing God's Word. In moments, real copies of God's Word are printed quickly, literally “on demand." To date, Wycliffe Associates has deployed 119 PODs. o Tablets for National Translators (TNTs) include a small tablet computer & an open-source computer app, that will enable persecuted translators to work together to speed Bible translation from anywhere in the world. To date, 6,325 TNTs have been distributed around the world. o During the second half of 2014, WA empowered national Bible translators to test & refine a new collaborative, rapid translation method, called Mobilized Assistance Supporting Translation (MAST), which allows simultaneous & lightning fast Bible translation. The tests were a success, & through this new method, national believers in South Asia translated half the New Testament in just two weeks, a milestone that historically has taken years. As of 4/23/20, WA continues to refine MAST & now 1,200 languages are translating the Bible using MAST.
