We Tell Stories, Inc.

Performances: We Tell Stories adapts literature, myths, legends, and folklore from all cultures and times into interactive, extemporaneous theatrical performances called story-plays. The rich, original repertoire of We Tell Stories consists of ten "trunk" shows and five larger productions from multiple cultures and times.

Instructional Theatre/Literacy/Arts: We Tell Stories provides professional development, student workshops, and residencies that teach the We Tell Stories Method of Turning Stories Into Plays. The workshops teach the basics of creating plays, maximize learning experiences from our performances, and impart the WTS philosophy and methodology of helping students become active, avid learners. We Tell Stories On Our Feet In Open Court Plus Program teaches theatre arts while at the same time supporting the literacy program Open Court Reading in a creative, imaginative way, consistent with California Visual and Performing Arts Standards (VAPA) and California Component Standards for Language Arts.
