Food Sovereignty

Cooperation Humboldt's food team is an active and energetic group focusing on our food systems. We believe that access to healthy food is a basic human right, and should be provided to everyone regardless of wealth or income level. Our projects include Little Free Pantries, lawn conversions, free community fruit trees, mini gardens, educational events, and a Community Food Guide.

Charting impact

Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.

Our goals are as follows:

o raise public consciousness re: urgent social and environmental needs

o educate the public on current solutions

o raise funds for nonprofit organizations providing solutions

We produce benefit events and projects. Over the years we have produced benefit concerts in Venice, CA to raise awareness and funds for Homeless USA. We also have produced several benefit songs which are available for download online. Currently, in 2013 we are developing a PIN Partners app for mobile cell phones, where users can learn about our project and make donations to help support our PIN Partner, Reach For The Top, Inc., fund Casa Amador, currently in development and close to beginning construction.
