What we aim to solve

SOURCE: Self-reported by organization

The Foundation is dedicated to the Protection and Preservation of the Pure Spanish Horse through education, training and promoting venues for demonstrating the excellence of the breed.

Currently the audiences we serve are scattered across the Americas and speak primarily two languages, Spanish and English. Both their needs and requirements are quite diverse but all centered around the PRE (Andalusian Hose) breed.

The Foundation is well respected for its commitment to quality in horsemanship, equine education and rescue.

Our programs

What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?

Rescue Program

We rescue Pure Spanish Horses and their relatives in need that are displaced and need a new home. We also provide health care for them until they are ready for adoption or in some cases for the rest of their lives.

Population(s) Served

P.R.E. Mundial performs as a Breed Registry which traces back to the horses of the original Stud Book as maintained by the Cria Caballar for 100 years, keeping the registry as authentic as that respected body envisioned.

Service for the Carta Mundial is speedy, affordable, and pays homage to all that was truly beloved about the Spanish Registry of the past, including a beautiful world-class "Carta".

The Foundation and the Carta Mundial truly empowers breeders and owners worldwide by providing a forum through which they can express their views and opinions on the P.R.E. Horse. Mundial Cartas are a revolutionary new option in registering your P.R.E. Horse.

Charting impact

Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.

The Foundation is intent on maintaining its reputation for excellence while extending it's educational and training outreach to include single as well as multiple horse owners and expand its circle of influence to performance arenas.

The educational concerns of training, care and improvement of the breed require continual assistance. We are formulating outreach to encourage excellence in all aspects of horsemanship and husbandry of equines through providing training, educational resources and venues.

1. Upgrade our website to a more efficient and user friendly format including online membership registration and registry services. (Done!)

2. Consolidate multiple studbooks and create a searchable online database for research purposes.

3. Convert our extensive print and video libraries to digital format to be integrated with our on-line presence.

4. Continued cooperation with associated equine organizations.

5. Update our marketing procedures to increase membership and heighten organization visibility.

Our new executive director has a MA in Public Relations and a background in computer networking and web design. With her knowledge the organization has the intellectual resource to act on the website, the on-line database and improvement of relations with associated equine organizations. (1, 2 & 4)

The Foundation owns the equipment to convert the extensive video collection to digital media, but is lacking the staff to complete the task. Presently seeking volunteers for this job. (3)

The Foundation needs an expansion of marketing functions. This will be instrumental raising revenue by selling ads and sponsorships and maximizing social media. The important task of pulling together threads across the diverse membership and service community (non-members too) is a complex specialty. (5)

From its founding in the early 2000's the Foundation has become well known and respected for quality of horses, horsemanship, education and rescue in the PRE industry.

The Foundation supports a traditional registry that issues the distinctive Carta Mundial. The Registry is known for its efficiency, ability to work with horse owners to secure registrations and its cost effectiveness.

We have developed: On-line registration, a national Awards Program, a national rescue assistance program.
