Our Mission: A New Way Of Life advances multi-dimensional solutions to the effects of incarceration.

-We provide housing and support to formerly incarcerated women for successful community re-entry, family reunification and individual healing.
-We work to restore the civil rights of formerly incarcerated people.
-We empower, organize and mobilize formerly incarcerated people as advocates for social change and personal transformation.

Supportive Reentry Safe Housing

ANWOL operates 10 reentry homes with 73 total beds for formerly incarcerated women and their children. The homes are located in South Los Angeles, Long Beach and Montebello.

Leadership training and empowerment for formerly incarcerated women and allies.

Our Employment Rights Legal Clinic increases the ability for people with convictions to access employment. Utilizing our staff attorneys and leveraging the services of community volunteers, our team provides cutting edge, pro bono legal information and representation to expunge criminal records, access occupational licenses, provide community education and constituent relief as eligible under Prop. 47, mitigate the disproportionate burden of traffic fines/fees on vulnerable populations and otherwise protect the civil and employment rights of formerly incarcerated and convicted individuals.

ANWOL hosts the Southern California Chapter of All of Us or None, a network of formerly incarcerated and convicted individuals who are fighting the discrimination and stigma faced as a result of prior convictions.
