Mission

Promote peace by providing opportunities for the residents of Greater Bakersfield to experience different cultures through education, social, and economic interaction. Objectives: > To provide opportunities for city officials and citizens to experience and explore other cultures through long-term community partnerships. > To stimulate environments in which communities will creatively learn, work, and solve problems together through reciprocal cultural, educational, municipal, business, professional, and technical exchanges and projects. > To collaborate with organizations in the United States and other countries which share similar goals.

Bakersfield Sister City Youth Ambassadors

Sister City Youth Ambassadors represent the City of Bakersfield and Bakersfield Sister City through youth exchanges with Bakersfield's Sister Cities. These exchanges include visits to Bakersfield's Sister Cities (Wakayama, Bucheon for now), and hosting youth from these cities when they visit.
