THE CACTUS AND SUCCULENT JOURNAL IS PUBLISHED FOUR TIMES PER YEAR AND DISTRUBUTED TO 2000 MEMBERS. THE HIGH QUALITY APPEALS TO AMATEUR AND ADVANCED HOBBYIST, NURSERYMEN, ACADEMIC BOTANIST AND EVERYONE IN BETWEEN. THE CSSA HAS PUBLISHED THE JOURNAL SINCE 1929. RECENT BACK ISSUES CAN BE PURCHASED AND OPLDER VOLUMES CAN BE PURCHASED ON DVD. HASELTONIA IS THE TECHNICAL YEARBOOK OF CACTUS AND SUCCULENT SOCIETY OF AMERICA. IT IS PUBLISHED IN FULL COLOR AND FEATURES PEER ARTICLES ABOUT ALL ASPECTS OF CACTUS AND SUCCULENTS. SERIOUS STUDENTS OF SUCCULENT FLORA, BOTANISTS, TAXONOMISTS, RESEARCHERS AND HORICULTRALISTS WILL FIND HASALTONIA VALUABLE. BACK ISSUES AVAILABLE. THE CSSA IS BUILDING A LIBRARY OF SPECIALTY BOOKS. WE CURRETNLY HAVE THREE BOOKS THE BEGINNERS GUIDE TO HAWORTHIA, AGAVE AND OTHE SUCCULENT MONOCOTS, ALOES OF THE CACTUS SUCCULENT JOURNAL, BEGINNERS GUIDE TO ADROMISCHUS, AEONIUM, DUDLEYA AND SUCCULENT DICOTS. MORE ARE PLANNED. THE NEWLETTER TO THE POINT HAS BEEN REISSUED AS AN ELECTRONIC NEWSLETTER TO ALL MEMBERS.

EACH YEAR THE CSSA HAS A PLANT SHOW AND SALE AT THE HUNTINGTON BOTANICAL GARDENS IN SAN MARINO. HOBBYISTS BRING PRIZED SPECIMENS BEAUTIFULLY STAGED IN DECORATOR POTS FOR THE JUDGED SHOW. THE BEST VENDORS FROM THE SOUGHWEST COME TO SELL THOUSNADS OF RARE PLANTS. THE 2020 SHOW AND SALE WAS CANCELLED DUE TO COVID.
