What we aim to solve

As a premier integrated delivery system we provide high-value healthcare to the communities we serve, managing the population's healthcare needs, while also creating a model of care that thrives in California's changing healthcare arena. In response to community need, we serve a greater population throughout the continuum of care. We develop services central to our mission and convenient to our patients. We partner with other non-profit organizations, where appropriate, to develop a comprehensive network of health services through a seamless delivery system. We are the preferred, non-profit physician and outpatient provider of services to the communities we serve.

Exploring new, different and better ways of delivering expert medical care with compassion is central to our mission of serving the needs of our community.

Our strategies to achieve our mission are to deliver an excellent healthcare experience, to promote a culture of accountability, to create a sustainable mission and to meet the community need. The focus of our strategy is our people, facilities and process. We invest in personnel who recognize our patients are the focal point of our mission. We develop facilities that promote well-being and are conveniently located to serve our community. We adopt information technology to measure and improve the quality of care. We focus on providing an efficient delivery of care through continuous process improvement.

Sansum Clinic promotes an environment of accountability in quality, cost, outcome, and service through constant measurement, refinement, and improvement. We maintain our culture central to our mission, vision and values by evaluating our performance against their standards. We provide transparency in quality and outcomes.

Recently, Sansum Clinic expanded the services available to patients in our communities through initiatives such as expanding our urgent care, constructing a new cancer center, implementing a Patient-Centered Medical Home and broadening our electronic health records capabilities. Sansum Clinic will continue to invest in population health with the goals of improving the quality of healthcare provided in our community and lowering the overall cost of healthcare.

Organizational Demographics

In order to support nonprofits and gain valuable insight for the sector, GuideStar worked with D5—a five-year initiative to advance diversity, equity, and inclusion in philanthropy—in creating a questionnaire. This section is a voluntary questionnaire that empowers organizations to share information on the demographics of who works in and leads organizations. To protect the identity of individuals, we do not display sexual orientation or disability information for organizations with fewer than 15 staff. Any values displayed in this section are percentages of the total number of individuals in each category (e.g. 20% of all Board members for X organization are female).
