Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Lanakila Pacific
Lanakila Pacific's two assistance programs, Lanakila Disability Services and Lanakila Meals on Wheels, empower individuals with disabilities and seniors to reach new levels of independence – whether that be through delivered meals, life skills classes, or job training and employment opportunities.
The organization also contains three social enterprises that employ and provide training opportunities to individuals with disabilities. Lanakila Kitchen prepares delicious meals for Lanakila Meals on Wheels, as well as for schools, families, and other private catering needs. A full-service screen-printing and embroidery shop, Lanakila Custom Products provides personalized clothing and accessories that allow designs to truly shine. Serving government and commercial clients, Lanakila Grounds & Custodial Services delivers top-tier landscaping and janitorial services.
Lanakila Meals on Wheels
Lanakila Meals on Wheels is Hawaii's largest and only island-wide meal delivery program, serving over 576,000 meals annually to seniors. However, it provides more than just meals – it brings the gift of community through Kupuna Tech digital literacy classes and Kupuna Connect virtual gathering spaces. The program also offers seniors access to fresh local produce through its Green Bag delivery service.
Lanakila Disability Services
Lanakila Disability Services is made up of two major services that support the needs of individuals with disabilities: Teaching & Learning Centers (TLC) and Employment Services.
TLC offers adults with intellectual and development disabilities the opportunity to master basic life skills that are sometimes taken for granted. By focusing on each person's individual needs, our adult day health program provides in-house classes, community outings and recreational opportunities that help participants expand their life experiences and foster independence.
Employment Services offers vocational services through a combination of pre-employment assessments, occupational skills training, practical work experience and job coaching - all essential components for individuals with disabilities to obtain and maintain competitive employment.
Lanakila Kitchen
Lanakila Kitchen prepares meals for Lanakila Meals on Wheels, as well as for schools, families, and other local community sites. This food service division of Lanakila Pacific also provides valuable job training and employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities. In addition to meals, Lanakila Kitchen also crafts desserts and baked goods for sale at local retailers.
Lanakila Custom Products
Lanakila Custom Products' print and embroidery shop produces top-quality T-shirts, hats, totes, and more for local businesses and organizations. Every order provides job experience and employment for individuals with disabilities.
Lanakila Grounds & Custodial Services
Lanakila Grounds & Custodial Services meets the full-service landscaping and janitorial needs of government and commercial customers. From basic lawn maintenance to specialized turf management, trash removal to carpet cleaning, our team makes locations shine! Every contract supports job training and employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities.
