Programs and results
What we aim to solve
We are continuously restructuring and training staff at the home to care for all the children that are recovering from serious sexual, neglect and physical abuse. Since September 1st, 2019, we have more than doubled in capacity with 23 children from Grand Bahama and 4 displaced from Abaco from hurricane Dorian. We have had to prepare and provided for these traumatized children of already abused backgrounds. We have sourced counselors from various backgrounds and have the children enrolled in seven different schools within Nassau.
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Orphange in Nassau
To provide comprehensive child care services for displaced children due to death, separation, abuse, abandonment, illness or other unfortunate circumstances. To ensure that while they are in our care they are afforded their rights as outlined in our statement of rights of a child. In addition, our children feel comfortable and that they develop a sense of self-worth. To offer our children a place where they can feel safe and secure, but
moreover, to provide a place that they can call home.
