Equine Assisted Psychotherapy

Equine Assisted Psychotherapy incorporates a licensed Mental Health Professional and a qualified Equine Specialist working together with horses and clients as equal partners in an experiential process that empowers life-changing outcomes.Horses are the variable, the unpredictable in the equation. Sitting across a desk from someone, thrashing out issues and solutions, it may be weeks, months or years before you get to try out an approach, if you even remember what course of action you thought best at the time to try. With the horse, they are the variable, they give instant feedback as to whether something is working or not, giving people a chance to adjust or revise the plan and so repeating the process and discovering what works for them, This can then be taken outside the arena and applied to life.

Founder/President/CEO

Denise Wilson

A lifelong horsewoman, Denise has always instinctively shared her horses with people, especially during times of distress, understanding that time with the horses was healing. This understanding led her to research and attend intensive, accredited trainings to continue and expand her knowledge along the journey she started, and fulfill her heart’s desire to care of both humans and horses. Denise has dedicated her life work to helping people through the power of the natural connection horses have with people by facilitating the opportunities for healing that horses offer with honest feedback.
