A popular attraction that sat on the side of Highway 261 near Washtucna now has a permament home minutes outside of town. The goal is to develop an art park incorporating education on history, geology and Art. Preliminary Architectural plans mapped out.

On July 7, the unofficial graffiti-covered landmark, known affectionally as #ThatNWBus, was transported to a lot near the intersection of Highway 26 and Highway 261, which was leased by the Washtucna Historical Museum and Community Center (WHMCC) This lot has since been donated to the museum and is now the permanent home for thatNWbus.
The purpose for bringing the bus closer to Washtucna is to connect the community and bring an interest to the area.

President

Kriss Bottino

Our non-profit started out with the dream of creating a museum to honor a small eastern Washington town and provide a public space for young and old alike to gather. We have furthered that mission by creating a food bank to serve area residents, acquiring, listing (state and national registers), and working to preserve a 1901 Boomtown False Front building - one of the last remaining in Adams County. We also created a space for creative freedom with our graffiti bus/art park project that we are excited to move forward.
