Dayton Ole Tyme Days Festival
An annual community wide event focused on family entertainment and fun in addition to the promotion of local and area businesses. All revenue generated from the festival is put towards the Dayton Ole Tyme Days Scholarship Fund

To annually increase the total dollar amount given.
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
Routinely educate local businesses as to what the Dayton Ole Tyme Days Festival Association is and how we are able to do what we do. Reach out to the parents of students in our school district to explain how their involvement can be a positive and productive organization to be part of.

What have they accomplished so far and what's next?
In 2022 we had one of our best years ever in the 30 + years of hosting our annual festival. We awarded 12 students a total of $21,500. The reason for such a positive change was the implementation of online strategies and revitalizing overall operations. Every person involved, from the Board of Directors, the Committee Chairperson, marketing staff, etc. are all volunteer. No one receives any salary or pay for their involvement.

What significant change resulted from feedback?
Scholarships originally established and awarded solely on academic achievement, now take into consideration a candidates excellence in extracurricular activities and roles of leadership within the community. The merit-based scholarships made available by the Dayton Ole Tyme Days Association do not consider a student’s financial need, but are awarded based on academic, athletic, artistic or special-interest merit
