Mission

The Herschell Carrousel Factory Museum, operated by the Carousel Society of the Niagara Frontier, is a premier national historic site and community resource for family recreation and learning that fosters an appreciation for the unique heritage of the carousel and related industries in the Niagara Region. Through educational, cultural, and recreational programming, visitors will experience the places, people, stories and artifacts associated with the production of carousels, band organs and amusement devices.

STEM Educational Programming

The Herschell Carrousel Factory Museum offers a variety of STEM programs for children of all ages. These programs are available as field trips, outreach programs, and virtual. Lessons range from 45 minutes to over 2 hours. All programs are based upon New York State Learning Standards and the Clover Model of socio-emotional learning. The museum regularly offers free or discounted versions of programs depending on grant funding. These programs are also offered in the summer on the museum's campus free with general admission.
